Arthur P Oles

 Arthur P Oles, 70, of Torrington, passed away Saturday, April 30th, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was born in Torrington, January 7, 1946, a son of the late Martha (Kant)  and John P Oles.  He attended Fairfield University and graduated from the University of Connecticut after serving in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War from 1966-1970 as a Staff Sergeant Life Support Specialist in Vietnam and North Africa.  He was a  licensed Real Estate Appraiser,  partner in the firm Oles and Jerram for 44 years and held the MAI and SRA designations.  He had served as President of Connecticut Chapter 38 of Real Estate Appraisers in 1985.  He was also a Realtor for 40 years,  active with Litchfield County Board of Realtors.  He was an avid golfer,  bicyclist, and hiker,  and a member of Torrington Elks .  He is survived by stepchildren Paul and Julie Revaz,  and 5 brothers,  Michael and wife Kathleen,  Philip and wife Pamela, all of Lancaster PA; John and wife Kim of Udon Thailand; Vincent and wife Pam of Salt Lake City UT,  and Paul of Cape Canaveral FL  He also leaves several nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Saint Francis Church, 160 Main St  Torrington,  11:30 on Friday, May 6th,  Friends may call at Church prior to the service from 10:30-11:30.
