Mrs. Fahey was the best teacher I ever had, she always took the time to listen and explain.
God Bless you!

I am so very sad to hear that my friend Eileen has passed. We shared many great times together on the tennis courts, playing singles, and even teaming up for some local tournaments (I was always responsible for the net...she hated being near it). Also, enjoyed many evenings sharing a bottle of wine and solving many of the world's problems at Squire Hill into the wee hours of the morning...
Eileen was a wonderful friend to all and will be truly missed....So sorry for your loss...Love you Leenie XOXO

I am saddened to hear this news. May her family remember her fondly and their memories provide comfort during this difficult time. There are few teachers I remember and she is one of them. What a wonderful woman, inspirational and strong. May her family find some peace in the kind word of strangers.

As a former student of Ms. Fahey’s, I was very saddened to read this news. She was well-respected among the student population as a no-nonsense teacher who was equal parts intelligent and witty. She led her classroom with a stern tone and a playful wink and always made herself available to struggling students. Ms. Fahey’s passion for reading was contagious. She encouraged us in ways that were relatable to teenagers, even allowing us to play our favorite songs in class and discuss the lyrics (all the while pretending to be a huge fan of rap music)! She impacted so many students over the years; I have no doubt my success in college, and later in my career, is at least partially due to the lessons I learned in her classroom. My condolences to her family and friends.

Mrs. Fahey was my favorite teacher in High School. She was truly and inspiration to me and taught that I could be anything I set my mind to. 20 years later, we still kept in contact and I will miss her dearly. My heartfelt condolences to her family.

I was deeply saddened to hear of Eileen's passing. What a passionate person on and off the tennis court. I loved playing tennis with her, not so much against her! It was a pleasure listening to her talk about her family, travels, books, music, and world affairs. Eileen was an interesting and interested person who will be missed.

I am so very saddened to hear of the passing of Ms. Fahey. She was the first tennis coach I had ever had, and I am proud to have been a part of the Torrington High School team to win the NVL championship back in 1989. I will never forget how important she was to me in my life. R. I. P.
