Alfred “Al” Anthony Alexander, 92, of Harwinton, CT, passed away Tuesday January 2, 2018 with his family by his side at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, CT
Alfred was born June 6, 1925 in Thomaston Connecticut to Julius Alexander & Elizabeth (Zutautas) Alexander. Alfred was a proud WW2 veteran and took great pride in his beloved family. Alfred was a tool and die maker and owned his own business Thomaston Midtown for many years before selling and moving on to work for Owen Tool in Southington, CT. Alford enjoyed to work and only retired a few years prior to his passing. In his free time he enjoyed reading, fishing, being outdoors, and the company of his family.
Alfred is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sandra Ella (King) Alexander and his two daughters. The first Sueann Elizabeth (Alexander) Ledoux of Harwinton, CT and her husband Preston Lawrence Ledoux and their children, Alfred’s grandchildren; Alexander Lawrence Ledoux & Emilyse Sandra Ledoux. The second Megan Jean Alexander of Northwood, NH and her partner Christopher Berger.
A memorial service will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Monday, January 8 at Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave Torrington, CT 06790
