William F Lake, Sr
William F Lake, Sr, 99, of, Torrington CT, passed away Saturday, July 30th, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of Myrtle Clements Lake.
William was born in Torrington, CT on July 26, 1923, a son of the late Amanda and Emile Lake. and operated Lake Motors Sales in Torrington for many years, later working at the Torrington Company, retiring in 1985. After retirement, he operated The Brown Jug Antique Shop, also buying and selling on Ebay. He was famous for his homemade lawn ornaments.
In addition to his wife, he leaves a son William Lake Jr and wife Joanne Cole, and daughters Susan Piontkewicz, and Audrey and husband Wayne Rougeot, 12 grandchildren 12 great grandchildren, and 12 gr gr grandchildren. He was predeceased by sons Dennis and Ronald Lake, brothers Alfred and Edward Lake and sisters Margaret Loyd and Lydia Regis.
