Ursula Woodman Obituary

Ursula E Woodman, 92, of Torrington, CT, passed away June 20th, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Frederic Hyres Jr.

Ursula was born in Kassell Germany, on January 12, 1926, a daughter of the late Ella (Giessler) and Wilhelm Gossmann. She was retired from Guida Dairy in Torrington

An active member of Sullivan Senior Center, she was a long time volunteer for RSVP and NW CT Aids Project,

She is survived by her daughter Elfriede Fieldman of Harwinton, son William R. Hyres and wife Lori of Redding Ca , 5 grandchildren and several great grandchildren, and sister Lisa Vollmer and husband Gerhard of Germany several nieces and nephews and a special niece Karin Vollmer of Bremen Germany. She was predeceased by a step son, Frederic L. Hyres.
