Thomas W Richardson

Thomas W. Richardson, 72, of Torrington passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 23, 2023.  Born in Torrington on September 17, 1951, he was the son of the late William L and Jane L (Cooke) Richardson.  After graduating Torrington High School, he joined the US Navy, serving from 1970-1974. Once out of the service, he continued his career in the energy business.  He started working at Westover School in Middlebury CT. Moving to New Hampshire, he began working at Stafford Oil Company, Laconia NH., eventually starting his own business, Advantage Energy Savings and Consulting LLC in Torrington.  Tom loved spending time with his family, especially his seven grandchildren and his first great grandson. His hobbies included kayaking, bowling, skiing, pool, working outdoors on his property, grilling, collecting boxes and ducks.

He leaves behind daughters Deanna M Richardson and Lindsey M Richardson grandchildren Tyler Stairs and his wife Shelley, Donovan Richardson, Larenzo Ricks, Ayden, Isabella, Landon, and Grayson Ibraimov, and great grandson Tyler J Stairs Jr.  He also leaves brothers Ronald Richardson and wife Patty, and Michael Richardson, and sister Patricia Rudish and husband Johnny, and companion Donna Whitlock Geri.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday Nov 3, at Saint Francis Church. at 11 AM. Burial will be private at Connecticut Veteran's Cemetery.  Friends may call at Phalen Funeral Home prior to the Mass from 9:00 to 10:30.  www.phalenfuneral.com
