Thomas McCullough

Thomas McCullough, 68, of Harwinton died in his home surrounded by loved ones on October 12, 2022. In addition to his loving wife of 42 years, Rita McCullough, he also leaves his children Erin Fitch, Paul McCullough and his wife Caitlin, Mark McCullough and his wife Shelaine, and ten adoring grandchildren.
Caitlin, Adam, Matthew and James Fitch; Caileigh and Reilly McCullough; and Liam, Ashlyn, Declan, and Connor McCullough. He also leaves his five siblings: Patricia (Charlie) Dorff, Daniel McCullough, Kevin McCullough, Mary-Ellen (Michael) List, John McCullough, and many brothers- and sisters-in-law. He was predeceased by his parents, Daniel and Doris McCullough.
Thomas, known by most as Tom, was born on October 30 th , 1953 in Reading, PA, one of six children. He graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. On Saint Patrick’s Day in 1979, he met the love of his life and one year later they were married. They lived their years together in Connecticut. He lived life to the fullest enjoying many years of boating, fishing, and spending time with friends and family at the “river house” in Lake Luzerne, NY. He also enjoyed dancing, dining out, a good beer, and vacationing with his family.
He was a devout Catholic, known for being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who provided and cared for his family and always did the right thing. His impact on the lives of those who knew him will be long-lasting, and he will be forever missed.
Services for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 20th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington, CT, followed by a burial at Saint Peter Cemetery.
