Obituary

Thomas James Clayton Sr , 57 of Torrington , CT died peacefully in his home on February 26 2021 . He is survived  by his mother Mary Hart , wife Marjorie Clayton , sons Thomas Clayton Jr (Wife Kristen Clayton), Ryan Clayton ( girlfriend Sara Colquhoun) and Joseph Clayton , stepchildren Rebecca Swearingen, (fiancé Richard Todd), Christopher  Swearingen and David Swearingen, grandchildren Addison Clayton and Zacharias Todd. 

  He was preceded in death by his father Americus Harry Clayton, and step father Charles Hart .

   Thomas Sr was a lifelong mechanic who retired from E.J Kelly transit company working as a Bus mechanic , he enjoyed crew chief duties on a local race team in town that competed at riverside park speedway .  He loved to cook and had a passion for tinkering in the garage on lawn mowers and tractors in his spare time and enjoyed spending time with his family , he will be truly missed by all those that knew and loved him .

 A small private service will be held Friday  March 5th 2021 for family and close friends .
