Theresa (Zimmerman) Formaggioni

Theresa (Zimmerman) Formaggioni, 82, passed away on November 28 in the comfort of her home. Born in Torrington, Terri was the youngest daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Matava) Zimmerman. She was employed as a bookkeeper for Joseph Adorno and the office manager for Formaggioni Oil Company. Terri was predeceased by her husband, Julius Formaggioni and her siblings, Stephen, Paul and Antoinette (Landor).

As a loving mother, she is survived by her daughters Suzanne Comeau (Greg) and Wendy Traub (Ken) and their father, Severin Aronson. She is survived by her grandson Evan Comeau and her granddaughters and their spouses, Samantha and Corbin Peterson, Rachel and Harrison McCoy, Julia and Noah D’Angelo. Terri was also blessed to have shared time with her great grandson, Reid McCoy.
Terri loved taking cruises but also loved beach vacations with frequent trips to Mexico, her daughter’s cottage on Cape Cod and, most recently, Pompano Beach, FL. She liked casino excursions and always enjoyed any excuse to dine out. Most importantly, she was a generous soul who always put others’ needs first. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy and they will miss her dearly.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 6, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St, Torrington CT. Family and friends may gather at Phalen Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024.www.phalenfuneral.com
