Stella was born February 4, 1933, in Wola Uhruska, Poland. As a little girl she bravely traveled with her family across Europe trying to escape the ravages of World War II and lost her mother Sophie due to illness. Stella sailed to America as a young woman, learned to speak, write and read English and became a U.S. Citizen May 13, 1960.
