Ronald William Blake, 76, of Winsted, CT passed away Friday, March 18th, at Saint Mary Hospital, after a long illness. He was the husband of Carl Cocchiola.
Ronald was born in Niantic, CT on May 29, 1945, a son of the late Evelyn (Blake) and John McMilleon. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Vietnam War and was a graduate of Housatonic Regional School and UCONN. He was retired as an RN at Southbury Training School
He loved to travel, play cards and bingo, and work in his garden and friends at Torrington Senior Center.
In addition to his husband Carl, he leaves a daughter Brenda Hoadley and husband Darrin, of Torrington, a son Darren McMilleon and wife Patti of Denver NC., grandchildren Brittany Goddard and partner Axel Padilla-Santiago Alex Wilcox and partner Madisen Clapps, Luna-Rose, Daniella, and Dakota Hoadley, and great granddaughter Raevyn Wilcox. He also leaves his sisters, Karen Hovey, Laurie Churchill, Patty Duran and Donna Wanklin, dog Maggie and cats Lucy and Ethel, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Jennifer McMilleon, grandson John Murphy, and brother John McMilleon.

Funeral Services are Wednesday March 23 at 11 AM at Saint Paul's Lutheran Church 837 Charles St, Torrington. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Phalen Funeral Home
