ROBERT JOHN MENDELSOHN
1/30/1949 – 3/24/2025
After a long illness, Robert John “Bob” Mendelsohn, passed peacefully on Monday, March 24th, 2025 with his wife by his side. A proud US Air Force veteran who served his country during the Vietnam conflict, Bob was a member of the F.O.E. #974 (Eagles), B.P.O.E. #372 (Torrington Elks), Veneta Society and Torrington Columbia Club. Bob worked as a Machinist/Tool &Die at the Torrington Company for 37 years and SKF for 7years

. Bob loved the ocean, spending time with close friends and family, shooting pool,UCONN Basketball and cheering on the NY Yankees. His ”tongue-in-cheek” sense of humor and witty one-line zingers will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Bob is predeceased by his parents Harry Mendelsohn and Shirley (August) Mendelsohn. Bob leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Sharon (Newton) Mendelsohn and loving family including sister-in-law Sandra (Newton) Bibeault and her husband Robert of Cranston, RI, niece Kristen Jean Lafond of Tiverton, RI and niece Danielle Lynn Lafond, MD of Boston, MA.
