Robert K Galluzzi

The Lord took the kindred spirit and loving soul of Robert Kenneth Galluzzi on September 2, 2023. Robert’s complicated birth in 1935 left him with special needs and difficult challenges throughout the 87 years he lived in Orange and Torrington, CT but his “slight” savantism gave him extraordinary abilities complemented with a childlike innocence and wholesome outlook on life that touched so many people. His greatest pleasures in life apart from visiting family in Florida was working at the Warner Theater, volunteering at the Childrens Museum in Torrington, listening to his radio, attempting “search-a-word” puzzles and watching movies, especially Meryl Streep movies with whom he had a massive crush. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary and James V. Galluzzi of Orange, CT, and brother James R. Galluzzi and sister-in-law Joan B. Galluzzi of Merritt Island, Florida. Surviving family members include 7 nieces and nephews and 1 great niece. There will be a brief gathering on Tuesday, September 12 at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington, CT followed by a funeral mass at 11:00am at St. Frances of Assisi Church, 160 Mainstreet, Torrington, CT. Burial will be at St. Lawrence Cemetery in West Haven, CT.
