Richard H Hawley Sr

Richard Hawley Sr.  passed away on April 1, 2020 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington, Connecticut.  Richard Hawley Sr was born on February 2, 1935 in Lynn, Massachusetts to Howard and Eleonor Hawley.

He graduated from high school in Massachusetts in 1952, and he received his Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1962.  Richard Sr married Catherine Sayers in June 1966, and they had three children.  The family moved to Torrington, Connecticut in 1971.  His first wife, Catherine, died in February 2000, and he remarried in 2009, with his second wife being named Judith Hurley.  Judith passed away in May 2012.  Richard Sr is survived by his three children, Richard Hawley Jr, PhD of Tallahassee, Florida, Margaret Blank and husband Robert of Contookcook, New Hampshire, and Joan Hawley of Hartford, Connecticut, and by a granddaughter, Natalie Blank.   A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Hope Church in Harwinton, Connecticut on July 29, 2022 at 11 AM.
