April 13, 1954 – December 26, 2021

Phillip Lucas, 67, of Torrington, CT passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021, after a short battle with cancer,  with the love of his life by his side, at the Harford Hospital.  He was the loving, thoughtful and generous husband of Rachel A. (Malley) Lucas.

Phil was born in Torrington, CT on April 13, 1954, son of the late Robert Lucas and the late Lois (Lanko) Greco.  He worked for Blakeslee Construction for over 20 years and more recently for Howie Noreika.

Phil was a lover of life and the outdoors, he was an avid fisherman and snowmobiler, drinking Bud Lights and making many friends along the way. He was always willing to give a helping hand, to anyone in need, he took pride in his home, but Phil’s main goal in life was to make his wife Rachel happy, being an excellent cook, he loved to prepare her dinner every night.  He always treated her with love, friendship, respect, and kindness.

Besides his wife, Phil leaves behind his brother Richard and wife Marty Lucas of San Marcos CA, and a sister Lynne Lucas of Torrington and niece Nichole Starzyk and husband Jason, and great niece Melia, father-in-law Thomas Malley , sister/brother-in-law Mary Ellen and Chris Matarazzo, brother/sister-in-law Christopher and Mary Malley. He also leaves his step siblings,  Joseph Greco and wife Lorie,  Mark Greco and wife Donna,  Roseanne Richards and husband Jim, and Judy Greco.  He was predeceased by his twin brother Paul Lucas and mother-in-law Anne Malley.
