Paul R. Meyer, 57, of Torrington, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, October 29th.
Paul was born in Torrington on June 4, 1964, a son of the late Elizabeth (Murphy) and Burton Meyer, Sr. He was employed as a truck tire technician at Zeller Tire in Torrington. Time with his son, daughter-in-law and grandsons filled his heart with joy. Paul looked forward to “going to the track” with his brother to watch and help him drag race. He inherited his mother’s sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, his pride, Mitchell Lenart, his wife Jaime (Flammia), grandsons Grant and Clinton, brother Biff Meyer, sister Maurette Wall (husband Pat), nephew Burton Meyer, III, Aunts Maureen Pace, Rita Zeller (husband Jim), Regina Neal (husband Robert), many beloved cousins, friend and mentor John Birden, his Zeller Tire “work family” and his shadow, Jackie, his Jack Russell Terrier.
Biff and Maurette would like to extend a special thank you to Aunt Reet and Uncle Jim Zeller, cousins Jim Zeller, Kris Zeller Alvarez, and Dave Zeller for their love and support throughout the years.
As Paul was known to say, “Don’t be sad when I’m gone, I’ve had a good life”.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 AM on Friday, November 5th at Saint Francis Church in Torrington, CT. (Please wear facemasks) Burial will follow at New St. Francis Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5-7 PM at Phalen Funeral Home online memorials www.phalenfuneral.com
