Obituary

 

 

Patricia Marie (Piekos) Marquard, 68, of Torrington, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2022, Born in Torrington, November 30, 1954 to the late Peter and Eva Piekos.

An attendant of Saint Francis School and a graduate of Oliver Wolcott Technical School - Class of 1972.
She leaves behind her husband Gregory of 42 years and son Matthew.  She is also survived by her sister Kathy (Mark) Bushka, Brothers Peter Piekos, and Jeffrey (Michelle)  Piekos.  She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and  long time friends.  
Patty worked as a nurses aid at Wolcott Hall after graduating and then worked as a lunch lady at Vogel-Wetmore until her retirement.  She enjoyed vacationing in Rhode Island and Maine with family and friends.
Patty's family would like to extend their gratitude to the Hospice staff that provided comfort in her final days.  The family would like to welcome friends and relatives to attend "A Celebration of Life" on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 1:00pm at The Torrington Elks Lodge #372, 70 Litchfield Street in the lower level.
