Parker Boylan Obituary

Parker Runyon Boylan age 87 passed away peacefully July 23,2025 at his home. He was lovingly cared for by his family. Parker served in the US Marine Corps as company radioman, two years active and four years reservist. As a young man he was interested in fine automobiles which led him to a career as President and Treasurer of the Nelke Motor Company, Litchfield with franchises of Mercedes Benz and Volvo.
Parker enjoyed boating in Long Island Sound and took great pride in navigation and boat handling. He also enjoyed year-round tennis with special friends. Parker was especially proud of the retirement home he built with his wife, Lorraine and could be seen puttering around their property with his John Deere tractors and trusty chainsaw. During the winter months Parker tinkered with his first car, an antique MGTD convertible which he bought as a teenager.
Parker loved his community and served many years as a driver for the Harwinton Ambulance Association. Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, he was the son of the late William H. Boylan and Carolyn Runyon Boylan.
Parker is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lorraine Weingart Boylan, son Todd Boylan (wife, Juliana Braganca), daughter Marilee Boylan (husband,Mark Partridge), grandsons who kept him on his toes Ashe Boylan-Partridge,and Thomas Boylan Dias Braganca, brother Steven V. Boylan, nephews Peter Boylan and Cornelius Boylan.
Parker appreciated friendships with his tennis, boating, and neighborhood communities as well as long-time friends.
