Michelle Lynn Clark,36, passed away unexpectedly on October 16th at her home. Born September 13, 1985 to Raymond and Frances (Coughlin) Clark, Michelle was a lifelong Torrington resident and a graduate of Explorations Charter School in Winsted.
Michelle was a exceptionally compassionate person, dedicated to her clients as a Group Home manager with Favarh, where she worked for 16 years. She was active in her childhood with the Girl Scouts and has more recently been a volunteer Coach for Special Olympics Connecticut. Michelle loved trips to the ocean and panda bears. A loyal friend, Michelle never hesitated to share her time, her help and her home with her friends.
Michelle was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Judy Coughlin and her dog and best friend Patches. She will be lovingly remembered by her parents of Torrington, grandfather Terrence Coughlin of Pembroke, NH, sister Judy Clark (Amanda) of Southbury, sister Amy Clark (Josh) of Torrington, fiance Michael Leopizzo, aunts Janet Stroud, Mary (Ernie) Waldron and Theresa (Earle) Phair, nieces and nephews Destiny Clark, Quentin, Logan & Kenzie Smith, Caden & Caleb Long, Patrick Clark, her longtime friend Jamar Phillips, her dogs Max & Nellie and many cousins and friends.
A memorial celebration will be held on Friday, October 22nd from 5 to 7 pm at Phalen Funeral Home 285 Migeon Ave Torrington. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Michelle's memory at Special Olympics Connecticut or The Little Guild. www.phalenfuneral.com
