Michael S Garfield

 Michael S Garfield, 73, of  Torrington, CT, passed away  Thursday, August 4th, at home.  He was the husband of Katherine Montefeltri Garfield

Michael was born in Peterboro NH on October 16, 1948, a son of the late Constance  and John S Garfield.  He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War.  He worked as a  Quality Engineer at the Torrington Company until retirement.  

He enjoyed movies and history,  as well as trivia,  and was an avid sports fan,  enjoying the Yankees,  Celtics, Rangers,  and UCONN.
In addition to his wife,  he leaves a daughter Heather Simpkin,  step daughters Renee Malo and Cara Weigold,  and grandchildren Logan and Henna Gregory,  and Mason and Aden Weigold.  He also leaves sisters Lou Ann Studer and Stephanie Manson,  and was predeceased by a brother Timothy Garfield.
