Melissa (Lee) Woolford

Melissa (Lee) Woolford of Torrington, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford on April 14, 2026. She was the wife of Jarrod Woolford. Missy was born November 24, 1984 in Troy NY to the late Donald Lee and Rosemary (Rancourt) Lee. She attended local schools in Watervliet, NY and earned an Associates Degree in human resources from Hudson Valley Community College. Missy faced many challenges in her young life and faced everyone head on and never complained. Her determination to live life to its fullest was monumental. she met the love of her life, Jarrod, in 2011, and they married in 2012. Facing difficult challenges for both, Jarrod became her mobility and Missy became his eyes., together they went out into the world and faced challenges head on and never let their struggle hold them back, They moved from New York to Torrington 8 years ago and bought a house and thrived together. 

Besides her husband Jarrod, she leaves a sister Katherine Lee of Guilderland NY, father in law Keith Woolford of Torrington, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. .

Calling hours will be held Friday April 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington with burial at St. Agnes Cemetery in Menands NY at the convenience of the family.
