Matthew Delekta

 Matthew Delekta, 28, of Torrington, CT passed away Friday, July 10th,  as a result of a motor vehicle accident.

Matthew was born in Torrington on January 20, 1992, son of Thomas Delekta and Lisa (Cersoli) Delekta. He was a graduate of OWTS Class of 2010  and had been a manager at Big Lots in  Torrington.  He was an avid gamer,  shooter,  and hiker,  and was always making his nieces laugh.
In addition to his parents,  he leaves a brother Josh Delekta and sister Jessica Peterson and husband Kyle,  girlfriend Danielle Douglass,  and nieces Dehlia and Dakota.  He also leaves his grandmother Sharon Karkut and several aunts,  uncles, and cousins

The family will receive relatives and friends 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Friday, July 17th at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington, CT.
