Mary A. (Fitzpatrick) Wescott

Mary A. Wescott, 91, passed away, Friday, April 8th at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Rollin C Wescott.

Mary was born in Watertown, CT on July 11, 1930 to the late John and Myrtle ( Cook ) Fitzpatrick. She graduated the James Morris School.She had been a member of the Litchfield Congregational Church for over 50 years, She taught Sunday School for many years.She was a talented seamstress and cook, working in private homes.She was employed by the Torrington Historical Society . Mom was proud of her family , enjoyed several family reunions, even encouraged a cookbook to be published!

She is survived by daughters , Deborah Stanizzi ( Richard Paladino) , Valerie Peacock ( husband Charles ) and son, Neal Wescott (Tara Smith).Mary, was also predeceased by a daughter, Lynda S. Rickert. Mary was a loving grandma to Jason, Tom, Michael, Beth,Tyler, Kate, Shaela and Brandon. Mary was also "GG" to Sam , Fiona & Lena.

Mary also leaves her siblings Joyce and Terry . She was predeceased by John , Jim and Joan.

Burial is private . Memorial will be announced at a later date.
