Marjorie (Smith) Zander

Marjorie “Maggie” Zander March 13, 1938 – October 27, 2020 Marjorie A. A. “Maggie” Zander (Smith), loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 27, 2020 after a long illness at the age of 82. She was the daughter of the late Albert Major Smith and Irene (Jozsa) Van Deusen. Maggie was predeceased by her loving husband Albert “Bud”. They shared a wonderful 63 years together until Bud passed away in 2018. She was also predeceased by her daughter, Sheri Kazlauskas, and granddaughter, Yaisa Lomax. Maggie is survived by her brother Albert Smith (and wife, Donna) of Winsted, sister, Dian Hanna of Knoxville, TN, daughters, Deborah Lyn of Torrington, Mary Ellen Zander of Old Hickory, TN, Lisa Allen of Torrington and Kristin Crisman (and husband Sewell) of McClellanville, SC. She is also survived by grandchildren, Zachary & Cayli Cables, Brittany Kazlauskas, Sewell & Absley Crisman and Ashley Yarbrough, great grandchildren, Saveon Grey and Wyatt Cables-Kent as well as several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Alive Hospice (Nashville, TN) for their loving care and support. Memorial services will be held on November 14, 2020 at 10 am, at Hillside Cemetery  in Torrington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Alive Hospice, 1718 Patterson St., Nashville, TN.
