Maria Hortensia Castro, 98, of Goshen passed away August 2, 2023, at Valerie Manor. She was the wife of the late Jose Castro. Born in Cuba Sept 29, 1924, she was a retired employee of Waterbury Neckwear Co. She leaves a son George Castro and wife Linda of Goshen, granddaughter Anne Castro and husband Kevin Mariano and their son Jack of West Haven, and grandson Michael Castro of Bristol, several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother Jose Yanez. A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday Aug. 10 at 10 AM at Saint Thomas Church in Goshen. Entombment at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury will be private.
