Our mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and best friend left us on August 12, 2022 to be reunited with our dad,  Joseph Reynolds.  Marcella Reynolds was born October 8, 1925 in Torrington ,  daughter of the late Peter and Alice (Burke) Crowley. Our mom met the love of her life on a blind date and married November 20, 1948.
Marcella graduated from Torrington High School in 1943,  entered the Army Nurse Corp,  graduating September 16, 1946 from Saint Francis hospital School of Nursing.  She worked at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital and did private duty nursing.
Marcella had four children,  Susan McKennan, Jay and wife Sharon,  Ann Marie,  and Thomas and wife Pat,  along with 8 grandchildren, 7 soon to be 8 great grandchildren.
Our mom was the best listener,  always ready to sit contently to listen to our days events.  daddy,  as you told us "The door opened , you saw those beautiful blue eyes,  you knew you would marry this girl,"  even to remembering the dress she wore.  Once again together forever.  on line memorials www.phalenfuneral.com
