Louis M Mazzini

Louis Mazzini, 85 of Harwinton, devoted husband of 64 years to wife Colette (Hanlon) Mazzini, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2020. 

Louis was born on August 11, 1935 in New Rochelle, NY to the late Guglielmo and Noemi Mazzini. Louis joined the U.S. Army after graduation from Wilby High School in Waterbury, CT. Honorably discharged; he joined the U.S. Postal Service where he was a mail carrier in Waterbury, Wolcott, and Prospect for over 35 years. Louis also had a passion for gardening, storytelling, and bringing laughter and light into the lives of others.

Louis was a loving father and mentor to his four sons and family, William and Nancy Mazzini, Joseph and Kimberly Mazzini, John and Alison Mazzini, and David Mazzini. He adored his grandchildren and extended family, Alex Mazzini, Katherine Mazzini, Megan (Mazzini) & Seth Kellogg, Teresa Mazzini, Lauren (Mazzini) and Cameron Mirkhani, Kristen Mazzini, Nicholas Mazzini, and great grandchild Joseph Kellogg. 

Predeceased by sister Alfonsina (Mazzini) Marcella. 

The family would like to thank the caring staff of Hartford HealthCare, Northwest Foothills VNA, and Phalen Funeral Home. 

A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 16 at St. John Paul the Great Parish, St. Peter’s Church, in Torrington.
