Lorraine Kawiecki

Lorraine Kawiecki (94) died peacefully on February 26, 2025 after a very long illness. She is survived by several cousins. Lorraine was a Head Nurse in the U.S. Army, stationed in Puerto Rico, Hawaii, and Germany.  She was a longtime resident of Torrington, Connecticut.

Even in her final hours, Lorraine never forgot her Polish roots and her Catholic devotion. Many thanks to the Chaplain, Susan, from Massachusetts Hospice, and her group of volunteers who provided Lorraine with lots of love and affection at Andover Forest Acute Care Center in North Andover, Massachusetts.

Visitations are welcome at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10, followed by a Funeral Mass at St. John Paul the Great in Torrington at 11:00 o'clock. Burial will immediately follow at St. Francis Cemetery, also in Torrington www.phalenfuneral.com
