Linda F. (Jackson) Schultz

Linda Schultz, 79, of Torrington, CT, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, April 9, surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of Donald Schultz for 53 years.

Linda, daughter of Francis and Verna Jackson, was a lifelong resident of Torrington. She performed clerical work in Hartford and Torrington, left her job to raise her four children, returned to work when they were grown, then retired to help raise her grandchildren.

Linda and Don were a loving couple who were known around town for always being together. They went for coffee several times a week and were regulars at all of their children and grandchildren’s activities. She loved baking, playing cards and most of all, being around her grandchildren.

Linda is survived by her husband Donald of Torrington; four children, Tanya Wakefield & her husband Robert, Jr. of Torrington, Rick Schultz & his wife Teri of Topsham, ME, Trina Milanese & her husband Bradley of Torrington, and Steven Schultz & his wife Kim of Torrington; eight grandchildren, Bobby & Christopher Wakefield, Marisa & Ryan Schultz, Harper & Tatum Milanese, Collin & Lauren Schultz, and step grandchild, Grayson Milanese. She is also survived by her sister Ruth Grech and brother Larry Jackson. Linda was predeceased by her sister Helen Ward, and brother Gilbert Jackson.

Linda was a wonderful woman who will forever have a special place in the hearts of all who knew her.

At her request, funeral services will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to Visiting Nurses and Hospice of Litchfield County.
