Linda (Wootton) Cattey

Linda Cattey, 81, of Litchfield passed away January 16 at Saint Vincent Hospital in Bridgeport.  She was the wife of 61 years of Edward "Red" Cattey. Born in Torrington April 1, 1943, daughter of the late Harry and Doris (Foley) Wootton, she was an honors graduate of Litchfield High Class of 1961.  She later was employed by Aetna Insurance and Torrington Savings Bank. Known as the "neighborhood mom". her home was open to all. She loved Jepardy  and Wheel of Fortune,  the Red Sox and UCONN Women's sports. Active in the community, she was a member and past Treasurer of East Litchfield Fire Dept. Ladies Guild, and a member of the Northfield Grange.

In addition to her husband, she leaves sons Mark and wife Darcy Cattey, Michael Cattey, and daughter Robin Cattey and grandchildren Johnathon and Jennifer Cattey, Kayla Gallitello, and Charles Cattey. She was predeceased by a sister, Patricia Rudnyai.
