After retiring from teaching, she worked for McCrory’s as a Regional Trainer and at Ensign-Bickford and Konover Management Realty as a Property Administrator.
Julia made it her life’s passion to laugh and make others laugh. She instilled in her children a love of nature, gardening, cooking and reading. Golf was her favorite pastime, and she and Arnold spent almost every sunny day on the golf course. She was a longtime UCONN Husky Basketball fan and loved rooting for the Red Sox. Later in life, she spent much of her time gardening and knitting lap quilts and baby bonnets for local hospitals.
