Joseph A. Lucia Jr

On Thursday June 22, 2023, Joseph A. Lucia Jr., loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather passed away at 87 years of age. Joe was born on October 25, 1935.
Joe worked for a sears service for many years and then retired in Sebring, FL as a security guard at South Florida State College. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish and
belonged to the Torrington Fish and Game where he was treasurer for many years. One of his favorite hobbies was woodworking as he loved creating beautiful pieces of furniture and gifts
for his loved ones. Joe was almost always found watching the UCONN women’s basketball team- he was one of their biggest fans.
Joe was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Rose Lucia, and five sisters Honey, Lily, Grace, Josephine, and Mary. He is survived by his wife Pam, his three children Joseph J. Lucia (Diane),
Carol Lucia (Brian), and Lori Lucia. His brother-in-law David Welch, his grandchildren Stephen MacDonald (Emily), Emily Carroll (Reece), Dan Carnein (Victoria), Matthew Carnein, Joseph D.
Lucia, and Gina Lucia. One great grandchild Rylee MacDonald, and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no calling hours. A private, family only service will be held at Phalen Funeral Home.
