Joseph M Adorno

Joseph M Adorno, 92, of Torrington, passed away Feb. 19, 2025 at UCONN Medical Center. He was the husband of the late Yvonne Janik Adorno. Born in Torrington, January 29, 1933 son of the late Marshall S. Adorno and Helyn Dlugoleski Adorno. He was a a graduate of Suffield Academy 1950 and Bryant College 1959. He served in the US Navy during Korea in the Naval Aviation Electronics Service Unit. He worked as a CPA for his father's firm Marshall Adorno Accounting and later his own firm until he he retired. Active in the community, he was a Past President and Treasurer of The Unico Club, a Board member at Torrington Country Club and a member of Saint Peter's Church Holy Name Society

He is survived by sons Joseph M Adorno Jr,and wife Julie, Gregory Adorno and wife Michelle, and daughters Debora Dlugokinski and husband Jan Michael, and Cheri Rutz and husband Adam as well as 9 grandchildren. He also leaves sisters Cynthia Krezel and Celeste Salinas. He was predeceased by brothers Robert and Walter and a granddaughter Samantha.

Funeral Services will be held Friday March 7 at 11 AM at Phalen Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. Friends may call prior to the service from 9-11 AM. Memorial contributions can be made to Torrington Unico Club.
