Joan (Sparks) Kisiel

Joan Kisiel, 82, of Goshen passed away Wednesday, August 29th, at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late John J Kisiel Sr.

Joan was born in Torrington, CT on June 15, 1936, a daughter of the late Ruby E (Eichner) and Edward L Sparks. An active member of Saint Thomas Church, she was President of their Mother's club for 10 years and was also a CCD Teacher and Brownie Leader at St. Thomas. She also volunteered at Wamogo School cafeteria and Well Child Clinic.

She is survived by sons John J. Kisiel Jr and wife Kathy of Torrington, and Andrew Kisiel of Goshen, and daughters Teresa Spina of Torrington, Kathleen Bacon of Hamden, and Christine Bruce and husband Scott of Southbury, and her pride and joy grandchildren, Benjamin Kisiel, Licia Spina, Kyle Lucas, Erica Kilmartin, Karli Kisiel, David Kisiel, Robert Bruce, Stephen Bruce, and Alexander Bacon. She was predeceased by brother Stanley Sparks and sister Lorraine Wells.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM on Tuesday, September 4th at Saint Thomas Church in Goshen,with burial following at Saint Thomas Cemetery.
