Joan Ann (Clark) George: beloved wife, mother, and nana, passed peacefully in her sleep on June 28, 2021. Joan was a woman of many hats: adventurous traveler, accomplished businesswoman, supremely generous soul, black & white horror movie enthusiast, Elvis devotee, Rummy Cube master, ice fisherwoman, Lebanese cuisine chef extraordinaire, and lover of life who was full of hearty happiness that she freely gave to her family and friends.
Her spirit is carried on by her loving husband, Frederick; her four daughters Cynthia Muhl and husband William of Harwinton, Charlene Donaghy and husband Gary of Torrington, Connie D’Andrea and husband Andre of Sandisfield, MA, and Clarissa George of Torrington; three grandchildren Scott George, William Muhl and wife Katurah, and Alyssa (Muhl) Gregg and husband Thomas; three great-grandchildren Thomas Gregg, Liam Gregg, and Aurorah Muhl, as well as her brother Kenneth Clark and family and her sister Jan Clark and family. Joan was a second mother to many of her daughters’ friends and various nieces and nephews who could always find an open door and a smile at Joanie and Freddie’s. Her generous spirit and zest for life will be missed by many.
