Obituary

 Janos G Varady, 76, of Torrington, CT, passed away  Monday, March 14th, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  He was the husband of Brigitte Reiner Varady.  Born in Budapest Hungary July 20, 1945,  he came to Torrington in 1974.He served in both the Hungarian and US Army and was a graduate of UCONN with a Masters in Social Work.  He was a retired social worker for the State of Connecticut.  He was a brilliant pianist and played often at Coe Park, and enjoyed playing,  watching,  and coaching soccer,   and walking his dogs.  
In addition to his wife,  he leaves a son Marius Varady,  and daughter Cornelia Cicerchia and fiance Chris Bienkowski,  and grandson Anthony.
A celebration of life will be held at the Germania Club 25 Grace  St Torrington on Saturday April 9t from 1-6 PM.  www.phalenfuneral.com
