Jane Emma (O'Neill) Leary

Jane Emma O’Neill Leary passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 11th, 2022. She was born in Waterbury, Connecticut on June 25, 1937, to the late Vincent O’Neill and Emma Moore O’Neill. She was predeceased by her beloved husband William John Leary and her brother Vincent O’Neill. She leaves behind her four loving sons and their spouses: Atty William and Carol Leary of Wolcott, CT, Michael and MaryBeth Leary of West Haven, CT, John and Josephine Leary of Goshen, CT and James and Judyta Leary of Wolcott, CT. In addition, she leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Michael, Alyssa, Joshua, Kyle, Olivia, Antonia, Ryker, William and his wife Elise, Christa and Atty Adam Leary as well as Tyler Stober and Morgan Testa. She also leaves behind her loving sister Mary and brother-in-law Andy Rivard of Dublin, Ohio and her loving brother Joseph O’Neill and sister-in-law Margaret of Waterbury, CT as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jane graduated from Crosby High School and then attended Post College to earn a secretarial degree which landed her a job at the American Brass Company where she worked for a few years before meeting her future husband; marrying and starting her family. She loved hosting parties, getting the family together and making memories. Over the years as her family grew, she always made time to help where she could with babysitting grandchildren or lending an ear to listen when needed. She was loved by all who knew her, and she will be missed dearly. There will be no calling hours. The funeral will be held on Friday December 16 th at 11:00 am at St. Leo the Great Church in Waterbury followed by the burial at New Pine Grove Cemetery.
