James A. Buss
James A. Buss, Professor Emeritus of Fairfield University, died on November 11, 2022. He was born in 1942 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to Emmeline and Charles Buss. Jay received his PhD in Economics from the University of Connecticut and taught at Fairfield University for more than thirty years.
He loved the outdoors and was an avid bird watcher. He climbed Mount Rainier, ran marathons, skied, hiked, biked and curled. He visited all fifty states and more than 15 countries.
In addition to his wife, Barbara of Harwinton, CT, and brother, Bill of Albany, NY , he leaves many beloved in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by his brother David of Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Keystone of Newbury Brook for their care and kindness. Funeral arrangements will be private.
