Jacqueline K. O'Connor of Torrington, CT and Daytona Beach Shores, FL died April 30th at Hartford Hospital. Born in Johnson City, TN on January 11, 1931, Jackie was the daughter of Herbert and Lucille (Morrow) Walker and was raised on the family farm in eastern Tennessee. She was the wife of the late William E. O'Connor.
Jackie was a graduate of Sulphur Springs High School in Sulphur Springs, TN and Tusculum University in Greenville, TN. She earned her Master's Degree from CCSU. She met her husband Bill when he served in the USAF and was stationed in Knoxville, TN. They were married 59 years at the time of Bill's death in 2012.
A business teacher at Thomaston High School for 30 years, Jackie retired in 1989 and enjoyed winters in Florida with close friends and family. Jackie's generosity and immense love for her family will never be forgotten.
Jackie is survived by her daughter Deborah Skinner and Geoff Webster of Terryville; her granddaughter Sarah Sage, Steve Guay and their children Gabriel and Merrick; her granddaughter Jennie Monterio, her husband Jamie and their children Jaycee and Jagger. She also leaves her sister Janelle Warden, nephews Carter and Graham Warden and their families as well as numerous nieces and nephews in the O'Connor family. The family sends heartfelt thanks to Hartford Hospital nurses Courtney and Laurel who provided comfort to Jackie during her final hours.
