Harold E Prout Jr

On Sunday June 18, 2023, Harold E Prout Jr, loving Husband, Father, Papa and Great Papa passed away at 85 years of age. Harold was born October 7 th , 1937, in Middletown, CT to Harold E Prout Sr. and Lillian (Kilduff) Prout.
He honorably served as a Navy Corpsman, was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He was an officer at the Elks as well as a volunteer fireman for some time at the
Torringford Fire Department. He was an entrepreneur who proudly owned multiple companies to include a nursery, a construction company, and more.
He rode thousands of miles on each of his many motorcycles with close friends and family, whether it be a New England ride or riding down and back to Bike Week in Myrtle Beach.
Hopping on his bike was one of his favorite past times. If you knew him you know that he was a man of many words, with many viewing him as a legend. He could bring a smile to anyone’s
face and has always been the life of the party. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Harold was predeceased by his parents, his sister Joan Stacey, and two brothers, David Prout
and Ronald Kilduff. He leaves behind his only living sibling Geraldine Anderson. He is survived by his wife Donna, his children, Deborah Latulipe (Gary) of Torrington, CT, Dawn Pawlow (Derek) of Harwinton, CT and Harold E Prout III of Torrington, CT. His grandchildren, Jesse Latulipe (Allison) of Torrington, CT, Michael Latulipe (Meghann) of Colebrook, CT and Alexia Pawlow of Harwinton, CT. Two great grandchildren, Eloise and Levi of Colebrook, CT in addition to many nieces, nephews and cousins. Harold was a large advocate in helping others in his community. To honor his legacy, in lieu of flowers donations will be accepted by his daughters to carry out his vision. These donations will be used for the betterment of the community and will be distributed on an annual basis to

A memorial ride will be organized in his memory at a later date. Calling hours to be held Friday June 23 rd 2023 from 4:00 – 7:00 pm at Phalen Funeral Home,
services directly following. Private burial to be held at the family’s discretion.
