Gloria Estella (Knudsen) Bentley

Gloria Estella Knudsen Bentley born to Kenneth Irving Knudsen and Mildred Allen Knudsen of Torrington, Connecticut passed away peacefully on March, 6 th 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her husband Arnold David Bentley, her daughter Sandra Jean Bentley, son Barry Bentley and granddaughter Billy Jean Wald. She is survived by her son Kenneth Walter Bentley Sr of Oxford NC, daughters Melissa Carol (Bentley) Strahan of Winsted, CT, and Bonnita Lea Bentley (Caron) of Scottsburg, VA. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren, 3 granddaughter in-laws and 8 great grandchildren. She was well loved and referred to as Mom or grandma by most. Gloria graduated from Torrington High School in 1957. On August 31 st , 1957 she married Arnold and they raised five children together. Gloria was always there for everyone, whether she knew you or not. There wasn’t a soul that she wouldn’t help. Gloria cleaned houses and worked at Torrington Christian Academy for many years. She lived at Torrington Towers and every time it was someone's birthday, she would make them a cake.
Services will be held at the First Assembly of God. 387 New Harwinton Rd. Torrington, CT 06790 on March 22nd , 2025 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm for calling hours. Funeral services shortly after.
