Gerald R Barney

Gerald (Jerry) R. Barney born August 24, 1965 passed away April 14, 2020 at age 54. Jerry was the son of Gerald A. and Claudia (Boldt) Barney of Torrington, Connecticut. He spent the beginning of his adult life working as a paramedic followed by the majority of his career as a network engineer for various companies. Jerry had a passion for computers, photography and hiking. He took many weekend hikes with his two sons, Brendan (25) and Matthew (23). He is also survived by his wife Lisa Burk and brothers, Steve (Cheryl) Barney and Dave (Julie) Barney.

The Barney family will hold a service for Gerald on Saturday, September 5th at Hillside Cemetery Chapel, 76 Walnut Street Torrington, CT. The chapel will be open beginning at 10:00 am for Visitors to pay their respects and visit with the family,  and the service to start at 11 am.
