George H Schuster, 73, of Goshen, CT, passed away Friday, August 28th, at home. He was the husband of the late Patricia Kelmelis Schuster.
George was born in Torrington, CT on September 1, 1946, a son of the late Janet (Kilbourn) and Herman G Schuster, and graduated from Wamogo High School in 1964. He enlisted in the US Navy Seabees and served two tours of duty in Vietnam with Mobile Construction Battalion Eight from 1966 to 1968. After his service, years he continued his trade in the building business until his health failed. He was a member of ten Veterans Organizations, The Goshen Historical Society, and National Street Rod Association. During his later years he was a proud member of the Northwest Connecticut Military Final Honors Squad traveling throughout the State, New York, and Massachusetts. His earthly treasures were third generation ownership of the Family Farm and a 1941 Ford Pickup Truck given to him by his father on his 13th birthday.
He is survived by two godsons, a large family of in laws, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and grand nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday Sept 1 at 11 AM at Goshen Center Cemetery.
