George A Schneider

 George A Schneider, 86, of  Harwinton, CTpassed away Thursday, May 30th, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by his family.  He was the husband of the late MaryAnn (Pavlak )Schneider.

George was born in New Britain, CT on July 15, 1932, a  son of the late Esther (Thomas) and Ernest  Schneider  raised in Farmington/Unionville, and lived most of his life in Harwinton.  He graduated from Farmington High Class of 1950 and served in the U.S. Air Force 6147 Tactical Squadron in the Korean War,  serving from 1951-1955. He retired as a computer technician at Unisys after 25 years.  In his spare time he enjoyed working at Santoro's Cleaners and was an avid gardener and fisherman. He was a member of VFW and Torrington Elks Club.
He is survived by his daughter Kristen Schneider Murray and her daughter Hope of Woodbury, and Jodee Albert of FL,  and sisters Virginia Bowen of FL and Grace Rossing of Maui.  He also leaves several nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was predeceased by his brother Ernest Schneider and sisters Irene Belanger and Barbara Duncan.
Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, June 7th  at Riverside Cemetery 160 Garden St Farmington.  Friends may call  5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, June 6th at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington,
