Gary DellaGhelfa Obituary

Gary John DellaGhelfa, 69, of Torrington, CT, passed away Monday, April 22nd, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

Gary was born in Torrington, CT on October 27, 1949, a son of the late Mary (Molina) and Peter DellaGhelfa. At 21, Gary enlisted in the Army National Guard from 1970-1976 becoming a sharp shooter and was the recipient of many medals. After being Honorably Discharged, he went on to receive a Bachelor Degree in Engineering.

He had many hobbies, including amateur radio (N1FZW), a love of motorcycles, going to the shooting range, hunting, fishing, and golf. He also enjoyed wood working and making custom golf putters. Most of all, he enjoyed time with his family.

He is survived by his companion of 10 years, Cindy Albrecht -Olson, his beloved son Daren DellaGhelfa and wife Traci, brother Dennis ands wife Karen DellaGhelfa, and brother Gus DellaGhelfa. He also leaves a granddaughter Kayla and 2 great grandsons, 2 nieces and a nephew.
