Fredric Bruce Breakell

 Fredric "Fred" Bruce Breakell, 82, of  Goshen, CT, passed away Friday, February 18th, at home,  surrounded by his family.

He was born in Torrington, CT on March 31, 1939, a son of the late Muriel (Harmon) and William R Breakell.  He was a graduate of Wamogo High in 1957,  where he served as Class Treasurer,  and played baseball.  He served as a Airman Second Class in the Air Force from 1957-1961,  stationed in Harlingen TX,  where he met his future wife on a blind date.  He later worked for Allied Grocers,  B&I Construction,  And UCE Construction,  all in Torrington.  Upon his retirement,  he did private estate care.
Fred loved playing poker,  fishing, snowmobiling, and rooting for the Yankees and Patriots.  He loved his hometown of Goshen and playing with his beloved grandchildren.
Fred is survived by his loving wife of 60 years,  Frances "Kay" (Wells) Breakell,  sons Donald and wife Sheila,  Edward and wife Carrie,  and grandchildren Conor, Clare, Liam, Noah, and Harrison.  He also leaves brother Thomas and wife Constance and sisters in law Kateri Veillette and Beth Skonieczny.  He was predeceased by brothers William and Robert.
A Celebration of Life will be held May 14 at Church of Christ Congregational in Goshen at 11 AM.  Memorial Contributions can be made to Goshen Community Care-Hospice and Goshen Fire and Ambulance Service.  online memorials www.phalenfuneral.com
