Frank Turrell

Torrington-Frank Turrell 77, husband of Claire (Holmes) Turrell, passed away peacefully at his home Friday, Aug 31, 2018, with his family by his side, after a courageous 17 year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Frank was born in Waterbury on Nov. 5, 1940, the son of the late Raymond and Ann Marie (Lynch) Turrell. He was a tractor trailer driver and a member of the Teamsters Local Union 671. Frank worked for Tose, Inc., and was a proud member of Mack Million Miles Club award. He ended his distinguished career driving for ABF, and received 8 safe driving awards. He enjoyed life to its fullest, and was an avid fisherman and hunter who always played by the rules.

Frank is survived by his children, Daughters; Marie Dufour and husband David, Ann Marie Talbot and husband Mike, Donna Cyr and husband Gil, Sons; Frank Turrell and wife Debbie, Robert Turrell and wife Julie, Anthony Turrell, Thomas Turrell, Roger St. Pierre, and Michael St. Pierre and wife Tina; Sisters Dorothy Forino, Mabelle Ramos, and Shirley Turrell and Brother George Turrell, in addition to 32 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and dear close friends. He is predeceased by his Wife Josephine (LaFauci) Turrell, Son Dennis St. Pierre, Sister Elizabeth (Betty) Jervis, Brother Raymond Turrell Jr., and Brother In-law Anthony Forino.

Calling hours will be Friday, September 7th between 10:00 a.m.-12:00 noon at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington, CT, with a service at 12:00 noon.  Burial will follow immediately at Saint Peter Cemetery.  www.phalenfuneral.com
