Francis M Downey, 77, of West Palm Beach, FL and Litchfield passed away , Saturday, August 8th, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of 55 years of Donna Picz Downey.
Frank was born in Rockville, CT on September 29, 1942, a son of the late Margaret and George Downey, and came to Litchfield to the Connecticut Junior Republic and stayed in Littchfield with the Neller family, meeting his wife in1964 and marrying in 1965. He went to work for PTC Aerospace in Bantam, for 42 years and then worked for O&G Industries for 13 years. He was a member of the Germania Club and Torrington Elks.
In addition to his wife Donna, he leaves a son Harold Downey and wife Anita and brother in law David and wife Sue Picz.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 19th at Saint Anthony Church in Litchfield, CT. Friends may call 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 18th at Phalen Funeral Home in Torrington, CT.
