Frances K. Parsons passed away peacefully in her home on Friday, October 7, 2022 at the age of 91. Frances was born in Litchfield on February 3, 1931, to James and Elizabeth (Woodington) Knox. She lived most of her life in Torrington where she moved after getting married. Frances loved being a homemaker and caring for children. She enjoyed cooking, baking, and sewing. She was a member of the Drakeville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the First Congregational Church of Torrington.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her brothers James, John, Franklin, and Skip; her sister Josephine and her husband Stanley Sr., daughter-in-law Linda, great grandson-in-law Bradley Jr., and great great granddaughter Braelynn. She is survived by sons Robert Sr. and his wife Doreen, Gary, Richard and James. Grandchildren she raised in her home Robert Jr. and his wife Shauna, Jessica and her husband Ray, and Robin. Grandchildren Tracy and her husband Michael, Gary, Richard, Raymond, and Thomas. Great grandchildren Natasha Bayne, Dalton, Aaron, Tori, Emily and her husband Justyn, Red, Timothy and his wife Natasha, Mariah and her husband Dallas, Karissa, Logan, Connor, Mackenzie and Ayva. Great great grandchildren Everleigh, Delainey, Greyson and Oliver; sister-in-law Anna Knox, and several nieces and nephews.
Gramma Ba was well known for her smiles, laughter, tickles, birthday cakes, frosted holiday cookies, chocolate chip cookies, Halloween costumes, meatballs, mac&cheese, her love of orange kittens and most of all her unconditional love of children. She has made an impact on all of our hearts and lives and will be truly and deeply missed.
A private graveside service will be held for immediate family.
There will be a celebration of life held at the Veneta Society located at 108 Central Ave in Torrington on Saturday October 15th from 12 - 4 pm.
