FLORENCE  WINEGAR

“Loving Mother and Sister”

 Florence M. (Frink) Winegar, age 86, of Torrington, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at, her home. Florence (“Flossy”, “F\o”) was born July 6, 1939 in Hartford, Connecticut, daughter of the late Samuel E. Frink and Alice A. (Johnson) Frink.

In addition to her parents, Florence was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Winegar. She was also preceded in death by her brother Kenneth J. Frink; her twin sister Frances  Perrault and Sister Louise M. Shopey.

Florence is survived by her son Kevin Winegar of Torringon. She is also survived by her sister Charlotte A. Hood of Winsted and two brothers; Samuel A. Frink of Newington and James A. Frink of Winsted.  Florence is also remembered by many extended fami\y members and friends who will deeply miss her.

Florence will be remembered for her sense of humor and unmistakable laugh. Florence and Kevin were known for their excursions to our Nation's Capitol - Washington, D.C.. Florence was also a serious collector of Pfaltzgraff dinnerware and accessories, in addition to various knickknacks.

Florence touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and generous spirit will be remembered forever. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us.
